The YarnPixel app allows users to pick colours from images, generating a hexadecimal (#) colour value. The app then compares this value against our catalogue of yarn products to suggest potential yarn matches.

Please note:

• Catalogue Limitation: Our yarn catalogue includes only yarn products we have colour-sampled. If a closer match exists outside of our catalogue, it will not be included in the results.

• Colour Representation: Yarn colours can vary significantly due to factors such as dye batches, yarn composition, manufacturing processes, lighting conditions, camera equipment, and intentional product designs (e.g., tweed, variegated yarns).

• Image Limitations: Colours picked from user-uploaded or captured images may not reflect real-world colours accurately due to lighting, camera settings, or other variables.

• Data Accuracy: While we work to ensure our product information is accurate, manufacturers may change specifications or discontinue products without notice. We make no warranties regarding the ongoing accuracy of catalogue data.

• No Warranties: The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the colour matches, yarn data, or other information provided by the app.

• No Recommendations: YarnPixel does not endorse or recommend any brands or products. We only present data-based suggestions based on the yarn catalogue we have assembled.

• No Liability: We are not liable for any decisions, purchases, or actions taken by users based on the information or suggestions presented in the app or website.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use our Services.

• We shall not be liable for any inaccuracies, outages, service interruptions, loss of stored user data (e.g., picked colours or wishlists), or deletion of user information stored using Apple’s User Defaults storage system.

• YarnPixel provides the app and site free of charge. No refunds, financial compensation, or other remedies are available for app performance or service issues.

• All content, designs, logos, graphics, software, and intellectual property rights related to the app, website, and services are owned by YarnPixel unless otherwise stated. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works.

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code.

  • Hack, interfere with, or compromise the integrity or functionality of our Services.

  Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

You agree not to use our Services:

• For any unlawful purposes.

• To solicit others to perform or participate in unlawful acts.

• To violate any regulations, rules, laws, or ordinances.

• To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others.

• To interfere with or circumvent the security features of our Services.

Our app includes advertising content provided by Google AdMob:

• We set broad guidelines for ads but do not review or pre-approve specific advertisements.

• We are not responsible for the content of ads served within the app.

• If users interact with ads, they may be directed to third-party websites or services. YarnPixel accepts no responsibility or liability for third-party content, services, or actions.

User data such as saved colours and wishlists are stored locally on the user’s device using Apple’s User Defaults system:

• This data may be lost due to app updates, device resets, app reinstallation, or other factors.

• YarnPixel is not responsible for any loss of saved data.

• Services may be suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Some elements of our Services, including but not limited to text, imagery, or other digital assets, may be created, enhanced, or generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence (“AI”) technologies.

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of such content, AI-generated materials may contain inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or errors.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content and disclaim any liability arising from reliance on such content.

All AI-generated content, unless otherwise stated, remains the intellectual property of YarnPixel.

These Terms and any disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any legal actions or proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
